On October 10, 2012 we unveiled our neighborhood beautification plan.  Neighbors, people with a stake in the community and press joined us in the penthouse of 250 Hudson Street, where we discussed the five distinct initiatives that will further Hudson Square’s transformation while celebrating its rich history and creative culture.

The event was made possible by the generosity of Jack Resnick & Sons and Edelman.

What you have done here is truly amazing. I have my doubts about the traffic patterns for Varick and Hudson, but it certainly looks beautiful. With the Holland Tunnel traffic, I have concerns about how the traffic will be handled. We already experience huge back-ups, accompanied by horns. I am sure you are addressing this. I read that you are looking for a space for a Greenmarket ( which would be wonderful to have). How about the Trump plaza space which is supposed to be a public space? They agreed to that in order to gain more floors. Let's put it to community use.
