SOBs Announces The Opening of Its Lunch Café
Monday – Friday, Noon – 3:30 pm
SOBs is known to many people as a historic music venue, but few know that one of the secrets of its success for over 30 years is what happens in its kitchen.
On Tuesday, October 18th SOBs is proud to present its Lunch Cafe, the newly launched luncheonette experience open on Monday-Friday from Noon-3:30 pm.
SOBs has found itself part of Hudson Square neighborhood, a bubbling hub of entertainment, food and culture. With that being the case the legendary restuarant-venue felt it was only fair to give its neighbors a taste of what they may have been missing, by serving lunch every weekday.
Therefore, SOBs has turned down the music and turned up the heat to let its food be the star of the show.
Joining the world class culinary team to help create the fantastic new menu, is daytime Chef, Fernando Garcia, who is a veteran of the NY food scene. Chef Garcia has worked at such restaurants as Patria, Asia De Cuba & Erizo Latino working along such names as Chef Douglas Rodriguez, Chef Alex Garcia & Eric Busulto.
With Chef Garcia’s vision SOBs has created a menu that has an exciting contemporary flavor and could best be described as Latin comfort food at its best.
It features such dishes as Shrimp Ceviche, Spanish Lentil Soup, Chicken Quesadilla, a Classic Cuban Roast Sandwich, Seafood Paella & of course a wonderful selection of Salads and other Entreés, including the much talked Houston Salad.
Join SOBs for the launch of what will undoubtedly be a classic lunch experience in lower Manhattan.
