Streetscape Maintenance
Our Streetscape Maintenance worker Robert!

As part of our Hudson Square Is Now streetscape improvement plan, we have installed nearly 60 trees, 3,000 square feet of permeable pavement, 11 benches, over 35 bike racks, while also creating temporary open space at Freeman Plaza. As of August 2014 we have begun our maintenance of these neighborhood investments.

Atlantic Maintenance has been hired to provide streetscape maintenance services throughout Hudson Square.

This includes:

  • Removing litter and safeguarding both the cleanliness and functionality of the umbrellas, benches and tables in Freeman Plaza
  • Collecting and removing litter and waste from our tree pits; maintaining and cleaning the permeable pavement – to ensure our trees remain healthy
  • Ensuring that our bike racks and benches remain functional and graffiti free.

If you see our maintenance worker Robert on the street, make sure you say hello!

If you would like to report a streetscape maintenance issue, please contact Jake McNally, our Economic Development Associate, at jmcnally@hudsonsquarebid.org.
