Film Forum: Q&As with ETERNAL SPRING Graphic Artist Daxiong & Filmmaker Jason Loftus

The audience and the fans of this amazing director and illustrator will have the chance to ask questions to the creators of the film Eternal Spring, Jason Loftus, the director, and his buddy Daxiong, who was the illustrator of the film. Jason Loftus is a Peabody Award-winning filmmaker and four-time Canadian Screen Award nominee whose work spans documentaries, docuseries, virtual reality, narrative games, and animation. He has produced the docuseries on Chinese cuisine, Confucius Was a Foodie, named Best Food Series on TV at the 2021 Taste Awards, which has aired in over 100 territories worldwide, including on PBS stations across the US and NatGeo People Asia. Daxiong is an internationally recognized illustrator and comic artist, having worked in China, Europe, and North America. In 1999, he created Qicartoon Studios in Jilin province, serving as the chief illustrator. In 2000, he won the Shanghai Animation & Comic Competition with his work Chinese Ghost Stories, which received publication soon after the competition. In 2002, Qicartoon Studios earned third place in the Shanghai Animation Competition for its work Zhuzi Baijia. In Europe, he received top honors at the 33rd annual Angoulême International Comics Festival for his work in Demi Gods and Semi Devils written by Chinese novelist Jin Yong.
