NYC Museum of Fire Presents: Colonial Firefighting & The American Revolution

January 1 - December 31, 2024 - Hours run from: 10am - 5pm

Celebrate the unsung story of the colonial-era firefighters, a group of volunteers who stood between New York and calamity during years of rampant burning, conflicts in North America, and the American Revolution. Multimedia, video animations, and 3D models depict essential events from the colonial era, including a magnificent video animation of the 1776 fire that destroyed 500 structures – homes, churches, schools, stores, and factories.
