Jill Freedman’s touching collection of images depicting New York City firefighters on the job in the 1970s is on display—Jill Freedman’s Firehouse Photography. Several pictures from Freedman’s 1977 book, Firehouse, are featured in the exhibition. It received acclaim for its honesty and grit, which depicted the danger, sorrow, courage, and camaraderie of being a firefighter in New York City.
