Samba Mapangala is a Congolese musician and bandleader best known as the frontman of Orchestra Virunga, one of East Africa’s most popular bands for over 35 years. Samba performed in Congo with Super Tukina, Super Bella Bella, Bariza, and Saka Saka. In 1977, he relocated to Nairobi and founded Orchestra Virunga.
