Michael Cameron Crew is an Afro-Cuban American photographer and creative entrepreneur from Harlem, New York, with work inspired by classic photography, femininity and colorful minimalism. Crew’s image-making through the lens of glamour, fashion and freedom is heavily influenced by the powerful presence of women of Color and serves to celebrate and explore Black representation, especially as it pertains to maintaining spaces within the art form.
HSBID has partnered with IAH Studio to curate a pop up gallery in October featuring young artists of color. Michael Cameron Crew is a visual artist displaying his work as part of the Reconnect series. The series features music and an outdoor art gallery/studio on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 12:30pm-2pm on Little 6th Avenue, and Wednesdays from 12:30-2pm on King Street between Hudson and Greenwich Streets.
