A musical marriage, Aziza & the Cure is led by wife and husband, Joelle and River Rouen. Violinist, vocalist, and bassist, Joelle was born and raised in Harlem, NY. Multi-instrumentalist, producer, and poet, River was born and bred in New Orleans, Louisiana.
They met at NYU and things got steamy 😉

HSBID has partnered with IAH Studio to bring young musicians of color to our streets on Thursday evenings. Aziza and the Cure are part of the Reconnect series. The series features music and an outdoor art gallery/studio on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 12:30pm-2pm on Little 6th Avenue, and Wednesdays from 12:30-2pm on King Street between Hudson and Greenwich Streets.
