POSTPONED (Weather) – The Reconnect Series: Music – Carolina Diaz-Chan/Sterling Strings, curated by IAH Studio

Carolina Díaz Chan is a classically trained violist, arranger, and teacher based in Brooklyn, New York. She has performed with the Chamber Orchestra of New York, Greenville Symphony, Good Shepherd Collective, Divina Artisti, and Fleur Seule among others.

Carolina received her Bachelor of Music in Viola Performance and Music Education with a minor in American Sign Language from the Eastman School of Music and the University of Rochester. She holds a Master of Music in Viola Performance from the Manhattan School of Music. Outside of music and teaching, Carolina is passionate about Intersectional Environmentalism, vegan cooking, gardening, and biking. Sterling Strings is a boutique, New York City based, diverse group of highly trained professional musicians. All of our musicians have been trained at  top music conservatories, and have been playing together for many years. Our musicians have performed in many major concert halls and venues like Carnegie Hall, Lincoln Center, Merkin Hall, The Tonight Show, Many on and off Broadway shows, and other concert venues around the world.

 

Carolina Diaz-Chan, and Sterling Strings are part of the Reconnect Series. Hudson Square has partnered with IAH Studio to curate Thursday evenings in June, featuring stringed musicians of color.  The Reconnect series features music and an outdoor art gallery/studio on Tuesdays from 12:30pm-2pm and Thursdays from 6pm-7pm, on Little 6th Avenue and Dominick Street.
