NYC-based drummer, Diego Joaquin Ramirez , leads a percussion trio that celebrates and fuses folkloric sounds from Cuba, Brazil, Africa, India, and the U.S, into a tapestry of both traditional and modern rhythms.
This small ensemble delivers an explosive, feel-good take on groove-based improvisation.

Diego Joaquin Ramirez Percussion Trio is a part of the Reconnect Series. The Reconnect series features music and an outdoor art gallery/studio on Tuesdays from 12:30pm-2pm and Thursdays from 5:30pm-7pm, on Little 6th Avenue, and Wednesdays from 12:30-2pm on King Street between Hudson and Greenwich Streets.
