On September 8, one of our local favorites I Love Panzerotti reopens!
I Love Panzerotti is a small chain of casual diners that serve the famous Italian food panzerotti, which are similar to calzones. Panzerotti are fried or oven-baked and filled with savory or sweet ingredients. The diner’s versions include classic tomato mozzarella, jalapeno honey, Nutella, and more!
I Love Panzerotti got its start in Hudson Square at 220 Varick Street. The chain takes pride in offering food made from ingredients that are imported from Italy, just like its chefs. The food is made fresh to order—and each order helps give back. For every unit of food sold, the company guarantees a daily meal to a child in need through their partnership with Mary’s Meals.
Serial entrepreneur Angelo Magni invented and produced the concept. He raised capital to open three stores and start international franchising through a crowdfunding campaign. They had just opened their third store in the East Village when COVID-19 hit. We’re excited to welcome Angelo and his team back to Hudson Square and looking forward to enjoying some panzerotti!
