Pedestrian Safety Managers (PSMs) returned to Hudson Square September 21!
We created our PSM program to balance the local and commuter traffic and ensure that people walking the neighborhood can safely cross at busy intersections. The program is part of our ongoing efforts to make Hudson Square a pedestrian-friendly neighborhood.
We suspended the program in March 2021, but now as we welcome commuters back to Hudson Square, we’re excited to bring back our PSMs.
Supervisor Doris and her team will be stationed at six intersections from 3:30 PM–6:30 PM on Tuesdays–Fridays. Feel free to say hello when they help you cross!
Pedestrian Safety Managers will be located along Varick Street at:
- Houston
- King
- Charlton
- Vandam
- Spring
- Clarkson
