In preparation for tonight’s weather, here are a few tips and resources for guidance:
Every owner, lessee, tenant, occupant, or other person having charge of any lot or building must clean snow and/or ice from the sidewalk after the snow has stopped falling. Snow may NOT be thrown into the street.
If the snow stops falling between:
- 7:00 am and 4:59 pm: must be cleared within four hours;
- 5:00 pm and 8:59 pm: must be cleared within fourteen hours;
Restaurants with dining structures are required to prepare their structures for snow:
- Use snow sticks to increase visibility
- Be prepared to consolidate and remove items when a winter operations advisory or snow alert is issued
