June 10, 2021
This June, our Reconnect Series is ramping up and bringing art to the streets of Hudson Square! Our summer programming is a FREE and fun way to see, hear, touch, and create art together. From our Hudson Square Canvas to the creatives who work here, art is an important part of our community, and we’re excited to once again share it with you.
We’ve partnered with IAH Studio to feature artists and string musicians of color right here in Hudson Square. Tuesday afternoons and Thursday evenings, we host live music and an open-air art gallery on Dominick Street and Little 6th Avenue.
We’ve also partnered with the Children’s Museum of Art to bring you family programming on Saturdays. Teaching artists from CMA will help children (and adults) of all ages create art inspired by the work of Tomashi Jackson, whose mural will be installed at 550 Washington Street this summer. Participants will have the chance for their work to be included on the building as well! While you create, local musicians will take the stage to provide you with some auditory inspiration.
