Small Business Saturday in Hudson Square

November 19, 2020

Hudson Square is a community full of small businesses that benefit from the support of their neighbors; and in 2020 more so than ever, these small businesses need our help. The Hudson Square BID has been participating in Small Business Saturday since our inception in 2009. Small Business Saturday is the Saturday after Thanksgiving, and much like Black Friday and Cyber Monday has a focus on holiday shopping. The difference being, rather than supporting national chains and large retailers, the shift in focus towards local small businesses in our own community. New York City has an abundance of entrepreneurs, who put their life savings into creating a business that may or may not survive.

Over the last few months, our retailers have done everything in their power to survive. Hudson Square mainstays have reopened, while we’ve welcomed new businesses like Peachy, a skincare studio that is dedicated to science backed wrinkle prevention, as well as Torch & Crown, a new brewery who in their first two weeks since opening they poured more than 8000 beers…New Yorkers sure are a thirsty bunch!

While we urge you to visit all of our Hudson Square retailers; the following are some of the businesses that are open within Hudson Square and fit the true spirit of Small Business Saturday:
