St. John’s Terminal Construction Update:

“Dear Neighbors,

On behalf of the development team at St. John’s Terminal, we are writing to you regarding upcoming construction activities occurring at 550 Washington Street between West Houston and Clarkson Streets, and between Washington and West Streets.

In an effort to maintain communication between the project team and the community, we will be providing construction look-ahead updates to notify our neighbors and the community about activities occurring at the site and any potential impacts they may have on the community.

Demolition has begun for the building between West Houston and Clarkson Streets, and between Washington and West Streets, including the demolition of the overpass above West Houston Street.

As part of this work, West Houston between Washington and West Streets will be closed to pedestrian traffic safety precautions during the following times:

Closures include

Friday, March 1 from 9pm to Saturday, March 2 at 5am: The contractor will be erecting a sidewalk shed on West Street over West Houston

Monday, March 4 9pm – 5am: The contractor will be erecting a sidewalk shed on Washington Street

Tuesday, March 5 – Friday, March 8 from 9pm – 5am: The contractor will install cables and netting under the existing building above West Houston Street

Please note the north sidewalk on West Houston St will remain open to pedestrian traffic and the street and flaggers will be present to direct traffic.
